Pandemic Christmas and New Year

 Well as 2020 winds down we still find ourselves in Ottawa. Lockdowns, restrictions, openings and more lockdowns. Flight cancellations with hopes raised then dashed about five times! Currently despite a provincial lockdown, it seems we may be leaving Canada on January 4, 2021. I will believe it when my ass is in seat on an airplane!

Ottawa has been doing quite well managing the pandemic but other parts of Ontario have not. Currently a provincial lockdown has been announced beginning Boxing Day so now in addition to busier Christmas shopping in stores, folks are stocking up for 28 days. I'm not sure how effective or even necessary this might be but it is happening.

We are prepared to leave with duffle bags packed with all the items on our bring back list. The house is ready to leave to our son to care for. Christmas is prepared for and Covid tests have been booked. In twelve day we depart WOOT WOOT!!! Guana here we come! We can't wait to finish what we started last year and enjoy some warmth whilst we work.

Our housemate Lisa has almost finished rebuilding her home so she will soon be moving into her new place after a long year and a half of stress and worry for her. We have had our dock piers redone and the dock reframed and are looking forward to rebuilding it. 

We are also looking forward to meeting this guy......

Apparently he has taken a liking to cat food, that Lisa supplies to him daily. If I am feeding him on January 5th, I will be one happy woman!
